Protective measures for coating workers

Generally speaking, as long as there is a need for the recovery and treatment of waste organic solvents, friends can use the solvent recovery machine. Today, I'd like to share with you what protective measures should be taken by the coating industry staff.

The long-term exposure of solvent gas emitted by the paint during the coating operation will often cause health problems and occupational diseases. Operators who have been exposed to organic solvents for a long time will not be sensitive to smell due to olfactory fatigue. Never assume that they will be careless if they can't smell or the smell is very light. It is necessary to know that the concentration in the local area of manual operation is very high in a short time. Although a series of measures can be taken to greatly reduce the environmental concentration, there will still be the concentration of organic solvents in the workplace, which will harm the health of coating operators. The coating workers shall take corresponding protective measures:

1. When using high-pressure airless spraying, you must wear a helmet with air supply. When painting by hand, you should wear a mask with active carbon absorbent.

2. When cleaning the coating surface with diluent (solvent), the operator must wear latex gloves to take the gauze with diluent (solvent) and avoid direct skin contact.

3. Skin exposure shall be avoided at any time during the coating operation. The skin surface that must be exposed shall be coated with skin care grease. When the paint is stained on the skin, it shall be timely wiped off with a clean gauze with a small amount of diluent (solvent), washed with soap and coated with skin care grease.

4. If you feel unwell during the construction, you should leave the site to have a rest in a well ventilated environment and see a doctor in time.
